William A. Barnett O.D.

Dr. Barnett is a graduate of Washington College and the Illinois College of Optometry. He also received his post graduate in child development from the University of Maryland. He has been in practice for over 40 years in Edgewater and Bowie. Dr. Barnett is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Maryland Optometric Association and served on the Maryland Board of Examiners.

William A. Benhoff O.D.

Dr. Benhoff is a graduate of Washington College and the Ohio State University College of Optometry. He has been in practice for over 35 years in Severna Park and for more than 30 years in Bowie. Dr. Benhoff is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Maryland Optometric Association.

Karen S. Beling O.D.

Dr. Beling is a graduate of Wilkes University and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She has been in practice for several years at Bowie Optometric Group. Dr. Beling is a member of the Maryland Optometric Association.

Michael F. Diffendall O.D.

Dr. Diffendall is a native of Lititz, Pennsylvania. After attending the University of Delaware, he received his doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA. Since graduation in 1995, he has been in practice in both Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Dr. Diffendall is trained in primary care optometry, ophthalmic pathology, specialty contact lens fitting, as well as refractive laser procedures. He is licensed to utilize both diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents for the detection and treatment of eye disease.

When Dr. Diffendall is not practicing optometry, he enjoys boating and sailing on the Chesapeake with his wife, Johanna and their Cocker Spaniel. His other recreational interests include running, biking, and weight training.

Douglas L. Blake Optician

Mr. Blake was an apprentice optician and graduated from the US Army Optical Specialist School in Denver Colorado. For 3 years he was stationed in Ryuku Islands, Okinawa in the 70th Army Med Depot. Mr. Blake later attended Baltimore Community College Optical Course and owned and operated Blake Optical (Village Opticians) in Bowie from 1980 to 1997. He has been an optician for the Bowie Optometric Group for over 5 years.
