Exams

Our doctors offer comprehensive vision exams for children, teens, and adults that include screening for glaucoma. We also comanage patients with glaucoma, cataracts, and are affiliated with TLC and offer comanagement for laser surgery.

Developmental Vision

Dr. Barnett has been testing children with developmental vision problems for many years. He works with psychologists and educators to determine the needs of each individual.

Contact Lenses

Our doctors fit many different types of contacts such as multi-vision, spherical, gas permeable, RGP’s, daily wear, and extended wear. We deal with many different contact lens vendors including Ocular Sciences, CIBA, Vistakon (Acuvue), and Coopervision. If you want to start wearing contacts, or if you need to change your contact lenses do not hesitate to call us at 301-262-1210 for an appointment.

Please be aware there is a one time fitting fee in addition to the contact lens exam fee. The fitting fee covers all the additional visits needed until the proper fit is achieved.

Frames

We carry a wide selection of designer frames for both children, and adults. Some of the brands we deal with are Calvin Klein, Nautica, Ralph Lauren, Nine West, Gucci, and Saks Fifth Avenue. We have frames in all different price ranges, styles, and colors so there is something for everyone. We can also order frames that are not in stock.

Lens Add-Ons

Varilux® Lenses are an exciting new weapon in the fight against presbyopia (a natural eye condition that affects the eye's ability to bring near objects into focus). These lenses use revolutionary technology so presbyopes can see near, far, and everything in between.

Crizal® is a revolutionary breakthrough in anti-reflective lens technology. These lenses reduce the glare that cause eye fatigue.

Transitions® Lenses help to protect your eyes from damaging UV rays. These lenses darken when in sunlight, and go back to clear when indoors. Transitions® are great for active people, and people sensitive to bright light.

Insurance

Our doctors participate with several insurance companies including Aetna US Health, Medicare, Optimum Choice, and Vision Service Plan. If you are unsure of your eye insurance coverage please call us at 301-262-1210 to make sure we participate with your vision insurance.

**Please note that we accept payment only from those insurers with whom we are participating providers. All co-pays and excess charges are due at the time of service. FOR ALL OTHER INSURERS WE REQUIRE PAYMENT IN FULL AT THE TIME OF SERVICE. We will provide you with a super bill to submit to your insurer for reimbursement.

Payment

We accept cash, personal checks (with valid drivers license or id), debit cards, check cards, and major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

Appointments

Appointments can be made by calling us at 301-262-1210. We do not make appointments through email or the internet at this time. We will try our best to get you in at a convenient time, with the doctor you want.
